Is a Chartered Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of The British Psychological Society. An ex-university academic and research supervisor at the department of Psychology at the Open University, he attended Queen’s University in Belfast. A psychological expert on suicidal behaviour, celebrity and royal relationships, lifestyles and personalities. He lives in Co Armagh in Northern Ireland.

Ambassador

During his professional rugby career Tom played for clubs including the Newcastle Falcons, Northampton Saints and Toulon in the French Top14 and won 2 caps for England in 2009. Since retiring from professional rugby Tom has become a successful businessman, as well as working within the sports media for broadcasters including BT Sport, TalkSport and Sky Sports. He has personally raised more than £110,000 for various charities close to his heart, including The Downs Syndrome Association, MND Research and Teenage Cancer Trust. The challenges he has undertaken include The Tom May Cycle Challenge, cycling from Newcastle to Twickenham via every premiership rugby club raising awareness for Teenage Cancer, spending 24 hours cycling on a Watt bike and running the London Loop, 6 marathons in 6 days.e League of Angels – Royal Ambassador

His personal achievements include receiving an MBE in the New Year’s Honours list in 2011 for Service to the Communities of Yorkshire and his appointment as Lay Canon of Ripon Cathedral in 2013 for Services to Business and Education. He was appointed an Honorary Fellow of Leeds Trinity University in 2018, again for Services to Education and Business and was appointed a Visiting Fellow of Leeds Beckett University in 2019 for facilitating links between businesses and the University.
